Author Resources: Review Blogs

Mission Statement:

Welcome to Joyfully Jay!  I started this blog because I love to read and wanted a place to share my thoughts with other readers and lovers of romance.  I read primarily m/m romance so that is the main focus of Joyfully Jay, but we may occasionally throw some other stuff in as well.  In addition to book reviews, I frequently host author guest posts, giveaways, and blog tours.  I also periodically run theme weeks focusing on different tropes and on occasion write posts on various romance topics.  So lots of fun stuff and we keep quite busy here!

Mission Statement:

My number one hobby is reading. Anything from paranormal to contemporary (especially bad-boys and rock stars… and alpha-males. Everyone needs a guilty pleasure. :P ). I love books that give me an adrenaline rush, overload my emotions and/or put me in a “love-fog”.

When I first started”power-reading”, I felt the need to talk about the books. You know… go over every little detail, sigh over the latest “hero”… *squee* a little. But my book friends were few & far between & my husband could only humor me for so long (he knows more about vampires & bad-boy heroes than I think he cares to). Plus. He’s not very good at squee’ing.

And so this blog was born. It has helped me connect with so many authors and readers, and I’ve read stuff that I love and will remember forever.

Mission Statement:

Welcome to Dear Author. We review romance books, talk about ebooks and digital technology related to ebooks, and post about all the issues surrounding romance novels.

If you are a first time visitor or even a long time one, you might not know of all the content available at Dear Author. This page is designed to help highlight some of our features. To make it easier, we’ve designed this page in a question and answer format. If there is a question we haven’t answered, drop a comment and we’ll do our best to respond.

Mission Statement:

Hot ones, happy ones, funny ones, fuzzy ones, erotic ones, old ones, dark ones, soppy ones, tear-jerking ones, heart-warming ones, but most of all, the need to be ALL MALE ROMANCE ones!

This blog began in September 2012 when Becs and Monique kicked things off. Since then it has grown from strength to strength, complemented by Mark joining the blog team in June 2013 and further enhanced by the arrival of Macky. Since the departure of Becs in November of last year, the site has been re-named and we are now a fully functioning  All Male Romance review blog.

Mission Statement:

I have always been an avid reader and that hasn’t changed over the years. From medieval chronicles to  Shakespeare to J.K. Rowling to M.L. Rhodes to Maya Banks to Cassandra Clare. From books to comics to audiobooks, I’ve enjoyed them all.

Every now and again I’ll enjoy a literary book, but for the most part I have been reading a wide variety of romance and young adult books. A niche has been gay romance books and gay erotica. Books in the “m/m genre” went from a guilty pleasure to a hobby with reviews for several major blogs, including Reviews by Jesse Wave and visits with fellow readers and 2 UK Meets.

Last year I took a little break from the genre, but now I’m back!

The goal of this website is to create a fun little corner to discuss everything related to (gay) romance books. Reviews will be a large part of this blog, but the main part. There are many reviewsites out there and be honest, I don’t want to be just one of many.

This site will also focus on (in-depth) interviews, book news, events, contest/games, movies and whatever else I can think of.

Mission Statement:

Authors, we thank you for your interest in having Evermore Books review your work, whether it’s a short story, a novella, or a full length novel. We are not limited to one genre. We love all written words.  We also want to make it clear that we are not professional reviewers… We did not go to book reviewers college or anything like that. We do this for FUN. We do this because we love books, we love to read, and we love discovering new books that we would have never would have known about if not for being avid readers.

Mission Statement:

Boy Meets Boy Reviews was born when porn met unicorns, and they fell in love and had a uniporn blog-baby. We are a group of like- and not-so-like-minded individuals who share a mild obsession with Jake Bass, unicorns, and stories of boy meets boy. We floated around on the World Wide Web until we found each other in a tiny corner of the GoodReads universe.  After much squealing and Kermit-flailing – and with the help of one Unicorn Name Generator – The Unicorn Mafia was formed. Our tastes range from alien PWP to college-aged fluff to GFY cops, and we embrace our differences wholeheartedly.

We are a review blog created by a group of readers as diverse as the books we love to read. Why? Because m/m romance comes in more than just one flavor.

And, of course, there’s me…

Mission Statement:

This service is provided by me, and in the case of Reviews, there is no guarantee of a 5 star review. I will always be fair and honest about what I do or do not like about the book. I will do this in a professional manner, with no back-talk about the author or the book that will be harmful to either. I DO NOT want to prevent sales for you. But I WILL be honest and if there is something I don’t like or enjoy about the story, I will tell you in the review. I will also admit if my dislike of the book is purely down to my tastes.

There is no limit to genre or heat level. I will read anything from YA, NA, PNR, M/M and more…

Review Requests will reopen in June.
