To give you a taste of what’s in store, I’ll be sharing samples of my available books.
I’ll use the 7/7 Challenge (where authors post seven lines from page 7 of their WIP) as inspiration. I’ll be posting (approximately) 7 paragraphs of page 7 (unless they have spoilers, then I’ll choose the previous/next chapter) If more is needed, for context, then I’ll add more.
Christian Stone grew up on the streets. Tough, independent and loyal, he’s worked hard to be indispensable to investment banker Bobby Colquhoun. Bobby saved his life, by getting him off the streets, now Christian repays the favour every day of his life, by being his personal bodyguard.
Duncan Colquhoun is a typical playboy; rich, entitled, playing up the bad boy image. He’s made being gay popular and acceptable, but even that’s not enough to convince Christian to go through with his newest assignment.
A closet asexual, can Christian play gay for more than just the night, when the only secure job he’s ever had is put on the line? Can he be Duncan’s secret bodyguard, without spilling the secret of his own life? And what happens when his undercover identity starts looking like his biggest closeted secret, that he’s kept even from himself?
Bobby smiled at him, before taking his seat. “If you’re going to go undercover in Duncan’s life, then you have to know that he’s gay,” he continued.
Christian stared at him, unsurprised by that fact. Just about everyone in the magazine reading world knew that Duncan was gay. He waited to hear what was really going on, because he wasn’t an idiot.
Duncan was splashed over the front page of every tabloid magazine and newspaper in the country. Normally, he was hanging off some guy’s arm, making out with a stranger or living it up in a nightclub. Thanks to Duncan, his popularity and his rare gift of being a playboy who donated to numerous charities, there had been an upsurge in LGBT acceptance across the country.
Anyone who didn’t know that Duncan was gay had been living under a rock.
“Chris, I’m asking you to become my son’s boyfriend, for the duration of our holiday,” Bobby revealed, taking his seat.
“Whoa!” Christian got up from his seat, starting to pace, in shock. “No way. I’m not gay,” he argued, refusing to become Duncan’s new lapdog, just because the little shit couldn’t behave himself.
“I know. But I’m going to pay you generously to change that,”
